The Farmhouse

Here at Destination Balcary, The Farmhouse is the original house for the farm. It has been home to our family since 2002, and many a happy time has been had, many memories made but in life things change. The Farmhouse has been recently renovated and we hope it to now be a luxurious holiday home so visitors to Balcary can stay little longer, and enjoy some comfort. Enjoy the outdoors, and the benefits of freedom, peace, tranquility, sea air, countryside……….need we say much more………we would like you to “stay in a place like no other”……….

Living Rooms:

The Farmhouse has 2 sitting rooms, the front sitting room with window seats and views over the farmland to Balcary Bay, with a TV, and multi fuel burning stove, and leather settees.

The second sitting room overlooks the garden. This is the snug sitting room for contemplation and peace, or to enjoy a DVD.

The conservatory has stunning 180 degree views across the farmland to Balcary bay, over the Galloway hills and to the Lake District fells, with the Robin Rigg Wind turbines visible on a clear day. There is a telescope on a tripod that will enable guests to enjoy the view in more detail, watch the incredible wildlife and see out to the sea and beyond to the Lake District.

Kitchen & Dining Room:

The kitchen diner has plenty of storage space, double ovens, one gas and one electric, with an induction hob, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge freezer. It has a dining table to seat 5 guests.

The separate dining room has lovely wooden flooring with a super dining table to be able to enjoy mealtimes.

The rear entrance hall has a utility room off with a separate sink and washing machine – ideal drying room and muddy boot room.

The downstairs bathroom is a wet room with toilet, washbasin and shower with screen.

Upstairs Bedrooms / Bathrooms:

1 x King Sized Double En-suite, 1 x Twin, 1 x Single Bedroom & Family Bathroom:

Upstairs is the master double bedroom with a king sized double bed and distant seaview. There is a small en-suite with a wet room shower, toilet and sink, and fitted wardrobe space.

There is a twin bedroom with two single beds (velux window).

The single combed ceiling bedroom over looks the garden with a single bed and fitted wardrobe.

The family bathroom upstairs has a toilet, washbasin, bath with an overhead electric shower. The house has gas central heating.

Garden:

There is a good sized garden with patio / BBQ area, plenty of space for children and dogs to run about and play ball. Plenty of parking available for guests.
